Life is Short – Eat a Bagel Sandwich

February 19th, 2016

Today the sun is finally shining after two weeks of rain. At this moment I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend an unemployed Tuesday than to sit on the patio outside the bagel shop and soak in the dry rays.

A sunny day like this always brings out the crowds as everyone emerges from their various home and work caves to experience a happier, warmer existence while the opportunity exists.

The florist Harrogate shop across the street has a display set up on the sidewalk out front right now and my view of roses, tiger lilies, and daffodils sets the perfect backdrop for people watching and sandwich munching.

I will go job hunting tomorrow, but today is a day for absorbing the Vitamin D and remembering why I am sometimes quite happy to be alive.

Them or Them?

November 28th, 2015

When I am choosing help to promote the kinds of products that I put out it can be really hard to know who to turn to and who will give me the right kind of assistance. I need to find the promotional staff that will work out best for me, but that can be hard. Do I choose those individuals who seem to be hard working and truly dedicated to the task or do I choose those who have a special creative spark? What do I do when I am trying to pick from two groups of individuals who each offer something different? What do I do when I’m not sure who will help me in the best way? Both are good for me, but I feel like I have to choose between two groups of people and I don’t know which one to pick.

Frustrations Finally Ended

November 22nd, 2015

For years I have found it difficult to communicate with my father. At first I thought with him getting older, it was just a matter of him being set in his ways and unwilling to learn new things. When I would try to explain things to him, it felt like I was beating my head against the wall. He wouldn’t listen to what I said and complete the task with the steps I provided. Needless to say we argued and I would leave upset and frustrated. My dad would look at me but, it just seemed like he wasn’t getting what I was saying.

Finally, when getting a regular checkup at the doctors they performed a hearing test and found that my father couldn’t hear certain frequencies. Now, with the help of Stockport hearing aids, he no longer has that blank look and actually gets what it is I’m saying. I’m so glad we are back to our old loving relationship.

Melting My Heart

September 1st, 2015

The best anniversary I ever had was my husband and I’s tenth year married. We both understood this monumental year was coming up but no plans were discussed. To be truthful I was just happy to have a “year off”.

While leaving work at the bank a long luxurious limo pulled up aside me. The window rolled down revealing my husband looking very daper. He smiled and opened the door for me. Inside was a spread of fruit, cheese and champagne as well as section in the back laid out for massage.

My husband knows how much I love liquor, relaxing with a wonderful Liverpool thai massage and letting the world melt away. We drove around who-knows-where for several hours before ending up at the warf. Just listening to the surf while being in a state of luxury and relatation was awesome.

The New Business

August 25th, 2015

It doesn’t matter what business you run a friend of mine told me to promote a business they should hire promo girls. They can interact with others and promote your brand or business while encouraging others to get involved in the event. They are truly professional. My friend had finally talked me into hiring some people to promote my husband’s new business. After long duration I knew this would make an exceptional difference and decided it was best to proceed. Everyone who attended the grand opening knows that the event went wonderfully. It went so well that everyone was astonished and it definitely helped to get the word out there about my husband’s new business. A couple months later and we are still thriving. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

A Strange Gift

August 21st, 2015

My parents are currently in the middle of a big move to a larger home across town. I’m excited for them. My older brother is helping them during the stressful moving process. My folks want to get rid of a lot of old belongings. Their goal is to have a cleaner and more clutter-free life in their new home. When my brother was getting rid of things he saw in their basement and attic the other day, he asked me if I wanted anything they had. I just told him I’d take anything that seemed interesting. He stopped by my apartment the other night and left me a fake pearl necklace and huge bag of silica sand. I was so confused. First of all, I’m not a fan of jewelry in general. Secondly, what on earth could I do with that big bag of tiny particles? My brother, while good-natured, is definitely a strange guy.
